Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number submitted through a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its results. Pike County Court Docket does not retain or log those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email may be retained as needed to prepare a response. Messages remain within the organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Website servers may automatically receive these technical details when a page loads:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They help measure traffic, popular pages, and where visits end. Analytics providers combine that usage data for reporting. Browser controls can block cookies, although doing so may change how some features perform.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
- Sending your search requests to the right partner service
- Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
- Tracking down and fixing technical issues
- Showing ads that may line up with your interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Pike County Court Docket does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of court dockets or personal case data. It identifies routes to Indiana MyCase, Pike Circuit Court, and the Clerk of the Pike Circuit Court. Visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or profiles about third parties, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Information entered there is governed by the provider's privacy policy, including its retention and disclosure practices. Those practices are beyond this site's control, so review the provider's terms before submitting data.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Pike Clerk, Pike Circuit Court resources, Indiana MyCase, legal-aid organizations, and outside search services. Once an external page opens, that operator's privacy policy applies. Review it before providing personal information.
Certain advertising partners may track your activity across sites to show targeted ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Some information may end up with:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable standard safeguards are used for collected information. No internet system is completely secure, however, so absolute protection or freedom from a breach cannot be promised.
Users Under 18
This service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Information identified as belonging to a minor will be removed when properly brought to our attention.
Your Data Rights
Applicable Indiana privacy and consumer-protection laws may provide additional rights. Indiana's Access to Public Records Act, IC 5-14-3, and the Indiana Rules on Access to Court Records govern access to public-agency and judicial records, but they do not convert this private site's analytics data into a court record. Subject to applicable law, you can:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised. A new version becomes available here with an updated effective date, so periodic review is appropriate.
